Stuart Marine Corp. - Company Practices & Expectations

boat yard worker Description

Regular workdays are currently Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM through 4:30 PM.

Additional workdays may be offered without prejudice or expectation.
Increased wages may be available and commensurate with experience. 

The daily work schedule includes:

  • Check in for work assignments by 7:45, and begin work at 8:00.

  • Break with the crew on paid company time at 10:00, for 15 minutes.

  • Break off the clock for lunch at 12:00 Noon, for 1/2 hour.

  • Break with the crew on paid company time at 2:30, for 15 minutes.

  • Fill out time sheet, and check out of work at 4:30.

An employee unable to follow the daily work schedule will be docked $1.00 per hour for the entire workweek.

Year around boat yard work applies to all indoor and outdoor tasks required to maintain the Stuart Marine boat shop and property; and to build, repair and service used and new boats; and to work in a safe and healthy environment.

Plan for bathroom use during the scheduled breaks.  

There is no smoking on company property. Unless during a scheduled break, no smoking or cell phone use is allowed.

Experience may not be necessary.  Hard work; good attitude; and proper language and manners are required at all times. 

Return to Work Program

In the event that you should suffer an injury in the workplace, Stuart Marine Corp. will attempt to find work for you within your physical capabilities and/or limitations. 

This will allow you to return to the work force and maintain productivity within the company. 

When returning to work after an injury, please notify management what your capabilities are, and we will attempt to find work for you accordingly.

Alcohol and Other Drug Policy

It is the policy of Stuart Marine Corp. to provide a drug free, healthy, and safe workplace.

Alcohol and other drug use in the work place is dangerous because it leads to physical and mental impairments.

It is the condition of employment at Stuart Marine Corp. that all employees will abide by this drug free requirement.
