Background / reason for sell

This is a really great small sized sailboat. It's even a great starter sailboat if you have ever wanted to own your own boat. It comes with a trailer, so you don't need to find one to pick it up, and it also comes with all the accessories & equipment listed above.

I used it for many years to sail out in our local Great Kills Harbor in Staten Island, New York, as well as sailing it over to Sandy Hook, NJ from Great Kills Harbor with no problems. I'm selling it because it's time to find a new home for Little Blue as I also go and find my own new home outside of New York and I cannot take it with me.

If you're looking for a nice sailboat that even comes with a trailer to tow it to your local marina, or even where you can launch the boat safely by the beach or water reserve, this is it. You can upkeep the boat yourself yearly if you are handy. I always tried to add a new coat of paint to the bottom each year and re-stained wood trimmings as needed.

I hope you'll make as many memories as I have had with it. It will be sad to see it go, but I will be happy knowing it went to a good home. It's definitely got many more sailing years left.

Some floorboards need to be replaced and the rest need to be refinished. Needs fresh paint all around.

SOLD - 1967 Mariner Keel Sailboat

boat for a buck.JPG

Seller writes - I own a 1967 O'Day Mariner, and have bought parts from SMC over the years.   She has been a great family boat, but we are ready to retire her.   She is in decent shape. We replaced the cross-beams a few years ago and bought a new halyard last year. But everything else seems like it is going to need replacement soon and I am ready to move on to a larger boat.   The mainsail has a minor tear; hull is solid but needs some TLC with one minor puncture above the waterline; all teak is old and weathered; and the mast and boom probably need to be replaced soon.

She is on a mooring in Casco Bay. The motor is not included. The trailer is stored on Cushings Island and is rusted and not highway-worthy; but works and is available.  I am happy to move this boat along to anyone interested in her,

SOLD - O’day 22 SAILBOAT

Just wanted to send you a couple of pics of the O'Day 22 you passed on to me last Fall. I spent a lot of hours working on it and put it into water 2nd week of July. It's the perfect size boat for me, we really enjoyed it. Kept it at the slips at Schooner Landing in Damariscotta. We pulled it out the week after Pumpkin Fest. Planning to get it in the water late May next season and get a good long season with it. Thank you so much for your generosity. I doubt you could have given it to anyone else who would have appreciated it any more than me. It has a good home and I plan to enjoy it for many years to come. You deserve some good karma for this good deed. Many thanks, Dan U.
