Her owners reports:

I’ve had “Dismal Scientist” for 25 years now, and I am thinking it is time to move her along to a new owner. 

The boat is in good shape.  It has been bottom painted every year.  I polish the hull every year.  The sails are recent.  The jib is 7 years old, the main about 5 years old.  I still have the spinnaker, but have never really used it. 

I have also done a lot of upgrades over the recent years including:

Torqueedo 3hp.
Full custom made boom tent
Stac-Pac for the main.
Spinlock rope clutch for the main halyard.
Garmin GPS
Mast head Raymarine hard wired wind direction/speed indicator.
Mounting platform for electronics
New battery in 2025 including battery case.
Spinlock tiller extension

I think the boat includes everything in the Islander Package.  It has full cushions, bilge pump, drain plug, new furling line and new jib sheets this year.   New main halyard a few years ago.  I still have a topping lift and a boom vang.  It also has a tiller tamer line. 

In addition I have a number of PFD’s, a new fire extinguisher 4 years ago, and a variety of dock lines.  It also has an anchor with rode.
